Class 4 Educational Visits

Blackburn Museum!

As part of our World War Two topic, we attended a 'Home Front' workshop at Blackburn museum and explored all of the wonderful exhibits on offer.  'Betty' was an excellent guide and had us in stitches as we learnt to make do and mend, looked at some artefacts from the time and even got some new names that were more fitting for 1940s Britain!  To top it off, we met a real-life survivor of WW2 and interviewed him to find out what life was like during this epic period of British history.  Check out the photos below to see what we have been up to.

Winmarleigh Hall!

Our Year 6 children are currently enjoying their adventurous activity residential at Winmarleigh Hall.  Here are some photos of what they have been up to so far.

Parliamentary Visitor March 2023

We were lucky enough to be visited by the Education and Engagement Team from the Parliamentary Offices.  We learnt about the Houses of Lords and Commons and how Bills are passed into law.  We also took place in an exciting debate workshop and discussed our local MP and the important role he plays in our community.  Our session was packed full of information and we are now experts on how our government runs our country.  Here are some photos of our assembly and workshop.
